The Outcast of PokerFlat

If you had to blame someone or something or the outcasts' deaths, who/what would you blame & why?

I woulod blame Bad Luck because the whole thing started with bad luck. What happened in PokerFlat when they were going to kick out all the bad people, that was pure bad luck to them becuase they agreed to it. When they found Tommy and Pinty that was bad luck to them because they were on their way to PokerFlat but they runned into the outcasts. If they never had bumpt into eachother they wouldn't have died and would just be on their way. Also, when Unckle Billy left with all their horses that proved bad luck to all in the cabin because they were tranded there. When the snow storm came right at the same day they slept there. Then the final prof of bad luck is when Tommy was too late with the help and found everyone dead.

Kate Chopin

The Story of an Hour: I really liked the story and liked on what it was saying. It was saying that back then a women, once married was traped in their marrage and the only way to get out of it is for one is to die becuase there weren't no devorces. She really explained that some women are hoping for one to die (preferaly the husband) and are happy when they die. She kept that in mind wile still keeping a funny ending.

The Blind Man: In the blind man you really feel sad for the guy, he's blind, stupid, and mistreated. In the story even the cop wanted to hit him. No one helped him by buying a pencil or just even telling him to take of his coat or telling him to walk to the other side of the street. It's a really same and I felt simpathy. Kate Chopin really did a good job telling us about how handycap people had it very rough and how they were discriminated.

Desiree's Baby: This was a really great story. How Desiree was abandond infront of her house and fell in love and had everything she had ever wanted but then was taken away becuase her husband thought she was black. But then later had a twist that reveiled that he was black. It was a very short story but a very good one. You can really see how racisim worked. When the jusband thought Desiree was black he stoped loving her, looking at her, or even speaking to her. Back then blacks had no respect so when he thought she was black it really made him stop loving her. With this, it told us how unequil the two races were and one little thing can break a family that loved each other.

Dr. Heidegger's Experiment

I've just game them the water. I don't know how they will react but I hope I will soon find out. If this expiriment is a sucess I will finaly be able to be young and run other expiriments that my current years wouldn't let me.

I poured the drinks in four glasses. I told them to drink up and they coperated once they saw the rose regenerate. I knew it worked wonderfull on plants but I never used it on humans.

I started to notice changes, their wrinkles have gotten lighter and less noticable and the expression on their face tells me it as working. Now to see how long the effect lasts.

They asked for more of the water and I gave it to them. They now looked like men and women of around thirty five. Amazing, two drinks and they are already aged back so much. Widow Wycherly has been looking in the mirror at herself for five minutes and had a face that of a person that could not belive a single thing.

Wycherly took another 4 minutes for looking at herself then walked up to me. She asked if they could have another drink. I had it ready and they took it. I can belive it! They went down to their Twenties.

They did the same thing, they didn't learn. They failed that test but the experiment might still seced.

After 30 minutes of dancing and flerting they started to get onlder. I can safly say that this test is a failure at this point. I have no more to say.

Desiree's Baby, The Sequel

"What is this! This.... this must be fake. It must be!" This raged Armand so mush he threw the drwer to the floor and crushed the letter in one of his hands. He fell to the floor punching the floor with the hand that had the letter in it. "This must not get out! This must burn! But the slaves can't see this." he put the letter in a cigar box and holded it on his side. He started to walk outside and towards the fire.

Flowers for algernon

If you were given a choice to have an operation that would make you much smarter, would you do it, especially if you knew the effects of the surgery would only be temporary? Why or why not? Use examples from the story.

For me, I wouldn't have that surgery even it was only temporary. I feel like this surgery would be sort of like cheating. If you use it, it wouldn't be fair for the people that worked hard to get much knowledge as you would get with the surgery. Plus, it would give you something very valuable you would need to have but it's temporary so it would be taken away and that's worse than not getting the surgery in the first place. Also, having the surgery to make me smarter may come with a bad price. Like in the story when Charlie found out that the people weren't his friends and that they were just using him for their entertainment. I could also find out something that I didn't want to find out and might regret finding about it. Then when Charlie get smarter and people wanted to avoid him and would despises him for being that smart, that might happen to me. I would intimidate people away from me and I would be left alone. Getting really smart does sound really good even if it's temporary but it certainly comes with negatives and I don’t think I can live with them. Even if it’s only temporary but the damages would still be made.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Chapters 8-the end

Explain what this story says about each of these issues. Use examples from the story to support your explanations.

-FAMILY

-AGE

-BEAUTY

FAMILY: I think that the story of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button teaches us about family a little. One thing it teaches us is that all family is not always supprtive and sometimes are ashamed of a family member. Family is soppose to not discriminate they're family but in the Button's family, when Benjamin was born his father disliked him and resented him and later even Benjamin's son was mad at him for being strange and weird. Another example is that Benjamin started to get tired of his old wife and didn't want her anymore.

AGE: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button tought alot about age. People shouldn't be judged about their age and shouldn't be kept from doing something ether. In the story, Benjamin looked too old to go to collage but he was actually only 20 years old. Also that Benjamin wanted to club without his wife because he was too old and he felt young. I'm guessing younger people don't want to be around ya older people.

BEAUTY: Beauty does matter and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button teaches us a little bit about that. At first when Benjamin as born, the doctor and nurses were scared at him becuase he looked like a 70 year old man. Also when Benjamin first met his future wife she was beautiful and he still looked like a 50 year old man and people were critisizing him that he was too old. Beauty matters becuase people judge alot by their beauty.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Chaper 3-7

After reading chapters 3-7, predict three problems you think Benjamin will encounter and give your solutions for each.

I predict that Benjamin will leave his wife by running away and going to anothr city. What can fix this is that Benjamin and his wife spic up their marrage to save it like going out for dinner alone or going out more just the two of them.

Benjamin would ant a devorce and will want to get away from both his wife and his son. Work on their marrage to make it better.

Benjamin's wife will leave him because he gets too young and looks like a teen. They have to accept it and just keep on with their lifes.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button Chapter 2

Roger is so overly concerned with how Benjamin looks & is worried about what people are going to say. What should he do?

What Roger should do is make Benjamin act like he is his father infront of people but when in their house, Roger is the father again. If that doesn't work is dress him up like a normal kid and just say he has a skin disorder.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Chaper 1

What would you have done if you were Roger Button in Chapter 1?

What I would have done was go out in the street in a car and if people asked me who he was I would just tell them he was my father. I would let him be himself inside the house but out of it he would say he's my father. I would say that my child died at birth so there won't be any suspision. And when he finally dies we would attempt to have another child, but right this time.

I love computers

People think I’m a game freak
And I admit I am
Others say I’m just another geek
I don’t give a dam

I love computers
But do not think someone should be named for it
I just love the way they work
They are complicated in every bit

I do have other hobbes
Like sports and other things
But computers are my favorite
Something about them makes me sing

Nothing can compare to it’s enjoyment
It’s just a fun thing to use
It’s gives me a great enviroment
It makes me comforable even when I lose.

I love the computer and it’s games
